Private House, Fulneck Estate, Pudsey

This property forms part of the Fulneck Estate Conservation Area, a settlement originated by, and still in the ownership of, the Moravian Church, dating from around the middle of the 18th century.

The house is built into the site contours, with a cellar formed against a retaining wall causing numerous problems.  Our involvement spanned from initial surveys through to contract administration of the refurbishment works.

This large property has been completely transformed and is once again a wonderful family home.  The project involved the installation of a new kitchen, bathroom and en-suite shower room.  The cellar was transformed into a new downstairs bathroom and storage area, with full damp-proofing treatment and ventilation systems.  A new heating system was installed, along with new floors, re-plastering and decoration.

External repairs included rebuilding a leaning chimney and securing the gable wall, lime repointing of the stonework and rebuilding brickwork garden walls.
